Understanding Your Target Audience
Assessment tools to determine customer archetypes to make sure you are reaching your target are important to implement when you don’t think you’ve got it quite right. Different personality types consume information in different ways, and we need to cater to those needs in order to deliver appropriate messages to them.
Don't Underestimate the Importance of Your Online Presence
When I work with small business owners or agents of a larger company, I see a lot of marketing basics overlooked in favor of - and rightfully so - client and customer attention, and frankly whatever fire needs to be put out right now. One of the major things that gets overlooked is online presence. Google My Business specifically. Don’t know what GMB is? Here’s what happens when I “Google my business”, Shepheard Marketing.

What Monkey Bizness Franchising Had to Say
We have worked with Kim Shepheard the past several months in an effort to organize and upgrade our marketing efforts. I tasked Kim with several initiatives which included organizing our marketing efforts, developing systems to track the success of our efforts and campaign development. As we have worked with Kim, she has continued to either meet or exceed all of our expectations.
Kim came to us with great marketing ideas about our business. She took the time to understand our business model and our customers. Because of this, the ideas and systems she has put in place have perfectly fit our long term vision and culture. Since we have hired Kim, I have almost completely handed over our marketing function to her. There has not been a moment where I have doubted that decision. Kim is a self-starter who is constantly coming to us with new ideas.
Along with these tasks, I asked Kim to mentor one of my current employees who has an interest in the marketing function. Kim meets with this person weekly and includes her in development and execution of strategy. Kim's mentoring of this individual is evident in the growth that I have seen from this individual.
I am a firm believer that marketing results must be measured over a long time period. With that said, I can say that at our main location, September 2016 results were up 9% year over year and our October results are on track to be up double digits from the previous year. The awareness within the community and the fresh feel to our marketing efforts is a direct result of the work that Kim is doing.
I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to either outsource their marketing needs or simply have someone develop strategy for them to implement in their own marketing efforts. The quality of her work will exceed your expectations.

4 Ways Marketing Can Affect Your Business
The purpose of marketing is to influence a decision, preferably a buying decision. These decisions are intended to make someone's life better in some way. You can do the same for your company by helping them solve problems, but you need to sell the decision makers on your ability to help them in their jobs.
